Notes on the use of cookies and the evaluation of usage data.

d. We group cookies into the following categories:

i. Strictly necessary cookies (type 1)
These cookies are essential for the websites to function correctly. Without these cookies, we would not be able to offer you services such as the vehicle configurator.

ii. Functional cookies (type 2)
These cookies simplify operation and improve the functions of the websites. For example, we store your language settings in functional cookies.

iii. Performance cookies (type 3)
These cookies collect information about how you use our websites. This allows us to identify which parts of our websites are particularly popular, thereby enabling us to improve our services for you. Please also read the section on evaluating usage data.

iv. Third-party cookies (type 4)
These cookies are set by third parties, such as social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, whose content you can integrate using the social media plugins provided on our websites. affinity	The affinity cookie assigns a pointer to the client, ensuring that user requests return to the same pod. The cookie is a session cookie and is not permanently saved. We only process traffic via https. This means it is secure by default.	Type 1
XSRF	A security cookie that prevents other websites from impersonating RoadStars users	Type 1
user	An authentication cookie that tells the browser when a user is logged in so that they can access exclusive content. The cookie is only set if a user is registered and logged in to RoadStars in Brand Hub.	Type 1
id	An authorisation cookie necessary for user and session identification. The cookie is only set if a user is registered and logged in to RoadStars in Brand Hub.	Type 1
_pk_id	A statistical cookie (anonymous) for storing a unique user ID. Expiry date: 13 months.	Type 3
_pk_ses	A statistical cookie (anonymous) for storing a unique session ID. Expiration period: Session, max. 30 minutes.	Type 3
_pk_hsr	Cookie (anonymous) for Matomo heatmap or Matomo session recording. Expiration period: Session, max. 30 minutes.	Type 3

2. Evaluating usage data.

We use cookies to identify visitor preferences and particularly popular areas of our websites. This allows us to tailor the content of our websites more precisely to your needs and thereby improve our services for you.

Daimler Truck uses Matomo for the statistical analysis of the data.
